After getting interest from record labels with fear:disconnection and with increasingly regular live performances, the band were keen to quickly follow it up with new material. It was decided that an EP would be quicker than attempting a full album.
After a meeting with pop impresario Tom Watkins, he suggested that the band needed a logo. A UK mains plug was chosen and would be launched on the cover of the new EP, along with a giant flashing perspex plug at live performances.
